ASHEVILLE, N.C., Sept. 24, 2015 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Cottage Cooking Asheville is having fun getting the word out about its new business. It’s taking its cooking on the road, in the water and underwater, in the woods and wherever else it can carve out a cozy place to cook.
Cottage Cooking offers cooking classes in a 1915 cottage located just north of downtown Asheville.
“We’re just having fun with it all,” John Godts, owner of the cottage says. “My partner, Liisa Andreassen and I enjoy being outdoors, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate our cooking activities into our exploring too. Most recently we’ve gone camping, climbing and kayaking. Get the idea?”
The couple posts photos on its website and Facebook page so interested folks can follow their cooking exploits.
“It’s kind of like ‘Where’s Waldo,'” Andreassen says. “People are curious about where we’ll be going and what we’ll be cooking up next.”
A recent “photo shoot” took place along the Blue Ridge Parkway at a place called “Frying Pan Mountain.” It was a pretty appropriate place to have a little fun with their marketing. Godts and Andreassen created a faux fire out of colorful leaves and were equipped with all the appropriate kitchen utensils too.
Spoiler alert: A trip to the Florida Keys is on the horizon where the couple is planning to scuba dive. How will they use their skills there? Stay tuned!

It’s an ideal situation.”
Many view this to be the bible of teaching English in South Korea.
“It’s written for anyone who wants to take control of their career and life. I did it and I’m anxious to share what I learned with others. It’s a combination of self-help and how-to rolled into one,” adds Goodwin.
“Teaching English Abroad” will show people how to step away from a 40-hour work week and to expand their horizons while helping others. It’s chock full of budget tables and tracks to show people how they can save a little or a lot.
The book is comprised of 10 chapters: My Early Mistakes; A Visit to Korea Rising from the Ashes; Facets of My Life in Korea; Being an Educator; The Savings Mantra; More on Budgeting; Newcomers Ahoy; On the Basics of Learning and Teaching; Traveling in Korea; and Why Do you Need a Financial Education?
These chapters are filled with practical and proven tips that include general financial advice, teaching tips, traveler tips and more. The book will also alleviate any anxieties that people may have about teaching in South Korea.

And the Tourism Oscar goes to… / Press release, Saturday, March 10th 2012
Once again, the allocation of the Best Exhibitor Awards (BEA) by Cologne Business School students within the scope of the International Tourism Exchange in Berlin was a very special trade fair highlight.
For days on end, the future tourism managers, most of whom opted for the core subject of Tourism, have visited some 11,000 booths at the ITB and assessed them according to numerous criteria such as booth construction, information contents, service quality, friendliness and special effects.
This was then finalised this evening: the Awards Show started on the trade fair grounds in the Marshall House, a location steeped in tradition, at 6 p.m. As last year, the CBS students Svenja Heidemann and Elena Käser lead through the programme and moderated the prizegiving. The respective three best placed booths in each category were honoured in front of more than 600 invited guests.
The patron of the project is Klaus Laepple, President of the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry. In his name, the Association’s Press Officer, Nicole von Stockert, held a welcoming address, thanked the students for their outstanding commitment and wished the project a successful future.
Martina Leicher from the Cologne Consultancy COMPASS GmbH, which mentors the project since its initiation, drew attention to the ever-increasing popularity of the BEA: “When we started to have the ITB booths assessed by Tourism students twelve years ago, we occasionally harvested benevolent smiles. Now the exhibitors view the BEA as an important benchmark and do a lot to achieve a good placing.”
Following four intense trade fair days, Prof. Dr. Guido Sommer, Dean of the Tourism Department at the CBS, draws a positive conclusion: “The assessment criteria have been further optimised, the higher semester students have trained the students involved for the first time highly professionally and I look forward to walking around the trade fair to invite the prizewinners to the Award Show after all the sheets have been evaluated.”
The CBS and COMPASS will also continue the project in 2013 and evaluate the trade fair booths as a partner to Messe Berlin in order to honour the most impressive of them with the Best Exhibitor Award.
The Cologne Business School (CBS) is an internationally orientated, state-recognised university of applied sciences and counts as one of Germany”s top Business Schools. The Cologne Business School also ensures highest quality education: in addition to official state recognition, all study courses are regularly examined by the tri-national accreditation agency FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
