Grassau, 25.05.2012 – Skywalk is continuing on a course of expansion in France: with the addition of Citroen, the Grassau tent manufacturer can now count an additional automobile manufacturer among its established clientele. With two X-GLOOs in the sizes 5×5 and six premium tents in the size 6×6, Citroen is now equipped to build a regular X-GLOO tent city. “Our client was especially enthusiastic about the limitless branding options and the weatherproof quality of our event tent”, says Fabien Solignac of X-GLOO France. “UV-resistant, watertight, and wind-resistant in wind speeds up to 60 km/h – it is exactly the right choice for presenting automobiles with an “additional certain something”!”
The Citroen tents were branded on the Roof with screen printing and equipped with printed Side Walls. The Side Walls are a highlight: the inside and outside of the Wall can be branded differently thanks to the addition of a light-blocking inner foil, creating double the promotional surface. Thus, the tent becomes a perfect eye-catcher!
The lightweight tent, available in 4x4m, 5x5m and 6x6m can be printed with logos or images on the Canopy, Canopy Banner or Tubes. Branding takes place by sewn application, digital- or screen printing, therefore fully indulging the creativity of the client! These preconditions make the X-GLOO a magnetic promotional tool or tradeshow stand of an entirely different kind.

dotSaarland GmbH Applies for .SAARLAND – The Domain Extension for the Federal State Saarland

The dotSaarland GmbH today successfully completed the application for the top level domain (TLD) .SAARLAND with ICANN (Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers). ICANN will evaluate the application along all others during the next 4 to 8 months. The initial evaluations will start on July 12, 2012. In addition to the dotSaarland GmbH, more than 1200 entities submitted their applications for one or more new TLDs. With a batching process starting on June 8, 2012, ICANN will determine which TLD applications are reviewed first.

With web sites such as www.example.saarland online content may be tailored exactly to the Saarland region and the Saarland people. Regional offers will be easily found and can be placed precisely. As members of the non-profit dotSaarland Association, the federal state Saarland, the Saarland Chamber of Commerce (IHK) and the Chamber of Crafts (HWK Saarland) support the project for a Saarland domain extension. The delegation of .SAARLAND to the dotSaarland GmbH will take place earliest in winter 2012. In this case, it will be possible to pre-register and register .SAARLAND domains with accredited registrars as of spring 2013.

“We hope to launch .SAARLAND in the course of the next year. As a geographic TLD, which is fully supported by the federal state of Saarland, we expect an unobstructed evaluation by ICANN”, explains Alexander Siffrin, CEO of dotSAARLAND GmbH.

The date for the examination of the .SAARLAND application by ICANN will depend on the digital archery called batching procedure for new TLDs. Presumably around 2000 applications were submitted until today, therefore ICANN plans to review them in batches, the first batch being the largest with 500 and each subsequent containing 400 applications.

Digital archery means, that each applicant uses an online system to choose a date and time in the future, for example June 15, 2012, 8 am. The applicant logs in and clicks the submit button as accurately as possible. The closer the click is to the preselected time, the sooner will the application be reviewed. To ensure a fair process, ICANN distinguishes five geographical regions: Europe, Asia/Australia/Pacific, Latin America/Caribbean, Africa and North America respectively.

The dotSaarland GmbH (nic.saarland) will be the registry for .SAARLAND domains. After applying successfully at ICANN, nic.saarland will organize and manage .SAARLAND domain registrations in accordance with the ICANN regulations. The dotSaarland GmbH is member of the non-profit dotSaarland Association and supports its activities. The statute of dotSaarland GmbH guarantees the establishment of an advisory council to the Association. The advisory council allows social and economic institutions of the Saarland to participate in the design and development of the TLD .SAARLAND – in the interest of all users.

Cologne. – Lignite from the Rhenish mining area is not only an indispensable fuel that contributes just under one quarter to Germany’s power generation. HOK activated carbon, exclusively made on the basis of Rhenish lignite, also serves to reduce emissions worldwide and, in doing so, also boosts environmental protection.

Its special properties in the separation of pollutants have made HOK activated lignite a much sought-after adsorption and catalyst material. Made by RWE Power AG on the basis of the natural product “lignite”, HOK is marketed worldwide by Rheinbraun Brennstoff GmbH (RBB) as a highly effective adsorbent.

Besides scrubbing waste gas in refuse incineration, one important use is the lowering of emissions in the iron and steel industry. One process usual there is the melting of iron and steel scrap processed in electric arc furnaces. In the thermal treatment of scrap contaminated with paints, oils and other organic substances, dioxins and furans emerge which need special reduction measures. Here, one of the simplest and at the same time least-cost scrubbing methods has turned out to be HOK-based adsorptive waste-gas cleaning in an entrained dust cloud.

HOK activated lignite for environmental protection worldwide

In the US, too, Rhenish activated lignite is making a contribution toward lowering airborne pollution. In addition to sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxide, mercury constitutes a special challenge for US power plants. In this sensitive area, too, “Activated Lignite HOK” has really proved its worth as effective adsorbent.

Biological sewage-treatment plants are another important field of application. These plants work on a kind of “manger” or feeding-trough principle with the activated lignite supplying nutrients and oxygen to the micro-organisms that are needed to combat the pollutants.

The separation products contained in the water and on which the micro-organisms feed occur in increased concentrations on the porous lignite particles. This prompts more micro-organisms to settle, thus accelerating the filtering process.

Cologne. – From 7 to 11 May 2012, Rheinbraun Brennstoff GmbH (RBB) will be at this year’s IFAT ENTSORGA in Munich to present innovative product solutions for sewage and waste-gas cleaning based on HOK activated carbon produced from Rhenish lignite.

Activated lignite, produced by RWE Power AG in the so-called hearth furnace process for use in numerous applications in environmental protection and marketed worldwide by RBB under the trademark “Activated Lignite HOK”, boasts special properties as an adsorption and filter material.

Typical fields of application – in addition to sewage treatment and drinking-water purification – are waste-air and waste-gas treatment in refuse incineration and in the steel industry where HOK is employed around the world as a low-cost and highly effective adsorbent.

It is the favourable pore structure and the catalytic properties of HOK activated lignite in particular that enable it to retain a whole host of pollutants. These include dioxins and furans, but also numerous other organic components as well as a range of heavy metals – including mercury.

HOK activated lignite: low-cost adsorbent at unvarying high quality level

Pyrolysis and activation of the lignite mined from RWE Power AG’s opencast pits in the vicinity of Cologne are based on a process optimized down the decades, the hearth furnace process, which also gave the product its German name – Herdofenkoks HOK – and ensures a low-cost mass product at an unvarying high quality level. At present, RWE’s Rhenish upgrading plants produce an annual quantity of some 180,000 tons in accordance with DIN ISO 9001.

At the world’s premier trade fair for innovations and services in water, sewage, waste and raw-materials management, which is fully booked, the roughly 2,700 exhibitors expect to attract over 100,000 trade-fair visitors from 180 countries.

Cologne. – From 8 to 11 May 2012, Rheinbraun Brennstoff GmbH (RBB) will present innovative energy strategies that are based on pulverised lignite at this year’s AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA in Kielce, Poland.

In the German asphalt industry, pulverized lignite has proven its reliability in more than 20 years of use, and today it is used in some 60 percent of all plants. The decisive advantages for the customers are long-term supply contracts that lead to a high degree of planning certainty and energy costs that are not tied to the volatile prices for petroleum products on the global market. “Not only is pulverized lignite much cheaper than fuel oil,” says Dipl.-Ing. Richard Dietze, responsible Head of Sales at RBB, “but the costs are also predictable in the long run because of the supply contracts.”

Pulverized lignite profits from price stability and high security of supply

Delivery by silo truck or railway tank wagon is cost-efficient even for long-distance transport, so that the range of customers is expanding more and more at the international level. Already, RBB is delivering pulverized lignite to plants in France, the Benelux countries, Poland and Rumania. In the future, RBB intends to add asphalt mixing plants in Slovenia and the Czech Republic to its range of customers. The required investments for the silo, dosing station and burner – some EUR 300,000 per plant – will in general amortize within about one year and will subsequently lead to significant cost savings.

RWE Power AG manufactures some 4.5 million tons of lignite products for industrial needs every year, marketed around the world by its subsidiary RBB. During the two-day event at ?eské Bud?jovice, the participants of the conference have the opportunity to obtain further information on the advantages of, and possible applications for, lignite as an energy carrier, and to get first-hand individual advice.

New X-GLOO Partner for France shows off the flexible lightweight tent together with Skywalk at the Marketing – Point de Vente in Paris

Grassau, 20.03.2012. – From 27.-29. March 2012, the company Skywalk will present its lightweight tent system X-GLOO at the Paris Tradeshow Marketing – Point de Vente. The trendy event tent – an innovative allrounder, will be set up in hall 4, stand B 96: Whether on asphalt, sand, snow or water – the X-GLOO stands with robust stability on any surface, indoors or outdoors. Equipped with waterproof high-tech material, the tent offers protection from UV-rays and fulfills the CPAI-84/B1 fire protection norms. Thanks to the aerodynamic igloo-like design, the X-GLOO can withstand wind speeds of up to 60 km/h.
In Paris, Skywalk showed its unusual premium tent together with the new French X-GLOO partner Bootikpub. “We are excited to belong to the X-GLOO Team and are impressed with the potential of this lightweight tent system “, according to Fabien Solignac of Bootikpub. “Right at the beginning or our cooperation, we were able to win over the automobile manufacturer Citroen with our elegant design and clever functionality!”
The X-GLOO lightweight tent is available in the sizes 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6. Thanks to the Tunnel Elements, you can combine as many individual X-GLOOs as you like, also of different sizes. The tent is available with or without Side Walls, Entrance- and Window Walls, Canopy, Canopy Banner and Lighting Elements.
An additional plus point is the simple handling: not only is setup quick and easy – the X-GLOO is ready for action within 10 minutes: lay it out, inflate with air, ready – but transport is also a snap with the Multifunction Transport Bag or Trolley.
The X-GLOO can be used in practically any situation: as innovative tradeshow stand, attractive promotional tool, chic chill-out lounge, for product launches, road shows, company parties and much more.
The X-GLOO is quickly available in the X-Act variation, in the colors white, blue, red or black or in the individually designable X-Pert version: “All the colors of the Pantone color book are available to choose from”, says Everhard Uphoff, Head of Sales und Marketing X-GLOO Germany. Mannheim, March 1, 2012 | After two years of constant development, the new version of the TCG 2032 (the largest MWM genset) was launched in January 2012. Optimized spark plugs and turbocharger technology have resulted in electrical efficiency of up to 44.2% with an output of 3,333 to 4,3000 kWe (in the V12 and V16 cylinder versions). Thanks to excellent operational experience, the period of operation up to the major overhaul has been increased from 64,000 hours to 80,000 hours.
After the successful launch of the TCG 2020K in April 2010, MWM extended its product range in the autumn of the same year to include the TCG 2020K1 system, which delivers up to 1,000 kWe. This new genset with electrical efficiency of up to 40% can be operated with natural gas under many different environmental conditions. It combines low operating and maintenance costs with the dynamic load response capabilities and robustness of the tried and tested TCG 2020K series. Customers are thus guaranteed an excellent price-performance ratio and a shorter amortization period. Furthermore, nano-coated intercoolers also improve operational safety when the intake air is of poor quality.
MWM recently launched an improved TCG 2016 C which can also be used with biogas. It is available for both 50 and 60 Hz. The TCG 2016 C series is available in the V8, V12 and V16 versions. Systematic optimization of the ignition and the TEM (Total Electronic Management) control system guarantee improved load balancing over all the cylinders. The anti-knocking controller has also undergone further improvement. The combination of optimized throttle valves, a new actuator for the gas mixer and a nano-coated intercooler ensures that the genset lasts even longer and is even less sensitive to external influences. Thanks to these improvement measures, the new genset achieves a maximum efficiency of 42.8% with biogas.

DORTMUND, Germany and BOSTON, MA, February 29, 2012 – e-Spirit (www.e-Spirit.com), developer of the FirstSpirit content management system, reports the most successful year in its company history: 33 new customers from a wide range of industries selected FirstSpirit in 2011, including KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Geberit, BayernLB, Media-Saturn, the Swiss SFS Group, the Fives Group in France, and South Africa”s largest petrochemical group. As many existing customers have also upgraded their FirstSpirit installations, e-Spirit has increased its licensing revenues by 80 percent from the previous year.

e-Spirit continues to grow its customer base internationally through its expansion into the US market. In October the content management firm opened its US subsidiary, e-Spirit Inc., and first North American office in Boston. After years of consistent positive performance, e-Spirit was included in the Magic Quadrant for web content management 2011 by Gartner, a leading information technology research and advisory company.

Leadership in the international market

e-Spirit has strengthened its position as a leader in the international market for web content management in particular through its customer-oriented functional extensions and best-of-breed strategy. At the 2011 CeBIT show the company introduced its AppCenter for FirstSpirit which provides a capability that is unique on the market for simple interface integration for any applications inside the CMS.
